Who am I and what's my life's mission?

I'm Ellie Kay  a late-diagnosed ADHDer and a CPD accredited (soon to be ICF accredited) ADHD coach. After a successful career running various businesses in the corporate world, primarily within recruitment, I made the decision to retrain and dedicate the rest of my career to something that truly makes a difference.

My mission is twofold:

1. Supporting ADHD/AuDHDers through coaching.

To break the stigma surrounding neurodiversity and support fellow ADHDers and AuDHDers in embracing their brilliant, unique brains. Through coaching, I help clients uncover their strengths, build self acceptance, and develop practical strategies to manage the chaos that can come with neurodivergence.

2. Educating and advising organisations on neurodiversity.

Helping businesses to understand, embrace, and harness the power of neurodivergent talent. I provide training, workshops, talks, and mediation services - creating more inclusive workplaces that work for everyone, and supporting both neurodivergent individuals and their employers in building mutual understanding and success.

We don't need to change

We are and have never been - useless, broken, too little or too much, we are just us. Lets find your unique strengths and embrace them. You have so many wonderful qualities.

We shouldn't feel shame

We may have made mistakes, through acting impulsively, taking risks and saying the wrong thing but we shouldn't feel any shame as we didn't know. And yes we struggle to regulate our emotions but the qualities we have outweigh the negatives .

Together we've got this

Acceptance comes first

Consultation & Mediation

Many workplace challenges can be avoided with early support from a neurodivergent specialist coach and mediator. Clear, informed communication helps resolve issues before they escalate. If situations become more complex, I offer mediation and advice with a balanced view, drawing on lived  experience - as  a ADHD business owner - to support both employees and employers effectively.

Testimonials

Laura Rylan, Owner, Prime Executives

Ellie’s ADHD coaching methods have been a game-changer for me compared to traditional coaching/management, which never took neurodivergence into account. She’s not only helped me get more organized and productive in my personal life, but her background in business and recruitment means she’s also uniquely positioned to coach me on my recruitment business.

She’s non-judgmental, thinks outside the box, and holds me accountable while understanding that my brain might mean I forget, leave things last minute, or procrastinate.

Within a few weeks, my pipeline had doubled, my life admin was in order, and I was just happier overall. Finances can be tight as a startup, but Ellie’s coaching has paid for itself ten times over—worth every penny!

Ellies Workshop has opened my eyes to the many ways a neurodivergent colleague can contribute to our team- not just through their skills, but through their unique and problem-solving approaches. The session was informative and deeply human. Hearing Ellie’s personal stories has helped me understand the daily challenges that neurodivergent face and the incredible strengths they bring when given the right support.

She shared with us practical steps such as how to create more accessible communication, how to support different working styles, and how to create a working environment where everyone feels safe to be themselves. I left the lunch and learn, feeling inspired and better equipped to be an ally to our neurodivergent team. The session is a great opportunity for companies to understand not only how to get the best out of their people but also how to create a culture of inclusivity not just in policy, but in practice.

I would recommend Ellie for anyone who thinks they have or knows they have ADHD, she has helped me hugely. By allowing myself to open up to her gave me the courage to unmask and I really opened up to her she is so understanding and is very knowledgeable. After are sessions I was able to sleep better with Ellie’s recommendation of podcasts. When feeling overwhelmed Ellie told me techniques that have really helped me carm myself down. I’m no longer road rage as we spoke about we look like absolute idiot. Then feel awful for it afterwards.

As Ellie has ADHD herself she gets me and she’ll get you. I would highly encourage anyone seeking to have coaching to give Ellie a shout. Amazing! Relaxing! Comfortable! Understanding! Funny! Thank you so much Ellie for everything you have done for me and for my family without even realising you have helped us all just by educating me that I am normal, well normal as I can be.

I attended a lunch & learn with Ellie recently and was so glad I went. As someone who is undiagnosed but pretty certain I have adhd, it was informative and so relatable. Understanding traits and being given a few simple but effective solutions to put in place meant I left feeling less scared about the way I feel my brain can sometimes hold me back, and much more in control. Her honesty with her own journey was really inspiring too, and made me reflect on my own life and how being neurodivergent may have influenced my decisions.

The talk also sparked conversations about how employers can improve staff retention and engagement through simple conversations, which is a topic that I think is really important in times where we can clearly see working life habits are changing. Would recommend Ellie if you’re looking to understand more about neurodiversity and adhd in particular.

I had been recommended to contact Ellie, as an ADHD Coach. At first I was dubious as I had never had coaching of this type before and felt the stigma surrounding it. Ellie immediately made me feel at ease by sharing her own real life examples and being extremely open and easy to talk to.

Ellie helped me by giving me the tools to use my ADHD traits as strengths rather than weaknesses and helped me put processes in place to help me be more effective in the workplace and at home.

I would recommend Ellie to anybody who is feeling frustrated and held back by ADHD.

Her personable friendly approach, backed up with vast knowledge and experience around the subject, makes her an excellent mentor and coach. Thank you!

The (lunch & learn) session provided so much more than just information about neurodiversity more importantly, it explored how workplaces can adapt to individuals to create an environment where they can truly thrive..

We are all different, and it’s imperative that we treat employees as individuals within the framework that is the workplace. We often talk about supporting our teams, but how often do we really consider neurodiversity in how we lead, communicate, and set expectations?

Ellie provided a deeper understanding of neurodiversity, not as a limitation, but as a different cognitive experience. A reminder that the “standard” way of doing things often isn’t inclusive of the full spectrum of how people think, process, and perform.Once again, thanks to Ellie Kay for running such an insightful session.
